      "title": "HELMUT NEWTON (GERMAN 1920-2004), ‘Truck Stop’, silver gelatin print, printed by Helmut Newton Studio pre-1985, certificate of authenticity present, (51 x 41 cm, image; 69 x 58 cm, framed), edition of 6.  (MAY BE SUBJECT TO ARTIST'S RESALE RIGHTS) Condition: Stored in conservation environment.  Provenance: This collection of vintage prints was gifted to Helmut Newton’s agent Norman Solomon, in recognition of the work he had carried out in promoting Newton’s ‘Private Property’ series of exhibitions in 1985.   All photographs in this collection are rare vintage prints shot and produced in strictly limited edition from a series of transparencies before 1985. Always unsigned, they were sent to major publications to stimulate interest in the photographer’s work; most of these type of prints were destroyed or written over.  Notes: ’Truck Stop’ reflects Helmut Newton’s early years as a truck driver in the Australian army. It is one of few rare images that features this motif and directly relates back to his early years in Melbourne, providing an intimate insight into Newton’s personal fantasies. Expertly manipulating light, Newton transforms the model in an almost abstract conception of oil spilling out of the truck.",
